LAW ENFORCEMENT

LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES

Our chief examiner, John Mellon, initiated the forensic computer examination program for US Customs in Miami, Florida in 1991 and was the chief examiner through 1993. Your agency can benefit from the lessons learned starting with the earliest stages of initiating a computer forensics program, to the lessons and experiences that were necessary to gain certification and expertly examine seized computers for evidence. You can also benefit from our instructing experience with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) and our law enforcement contacts throughout the world. Our goal in providing services to Law Enforcement agencies is to take the agency to the point where our services are no longer needed. We offer services in the following areas that will be helpful to your agency:

  • Assistance in the seizure of stand alone and networked computers.
  • Complete forensic examination of seized computer hardware and software.
  • Expert court testimony.
  • Assistance in selecting personnel to place in a forensic examination program.
  • Assistance in starting a forensic examination program in your agency.
  • Pre-search warrant investigative assistance in determining the type system and complexities of making a forensically secure seizure.
  • Assistance in phrasing legally sound language in the affidavit and search warrant.
  • Preliminary assistance, if necessary, in proper seizure, transportation and storage techniques.
